My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a 5 yr old dachshund boy named Rocket. He recently has been diagnosed with IVDD. He sustained a spine injury last month and he has been seen by our local vet, and a veterinary neurologist. His prognosis is severely disabled and he is considered to be a category 5 and permanently paralyzed due to his IVDD injury. His back legs are completely paralyzed and he is suffering from incontinence. He must wear a diaper at all times due to his incontinence.
I am desperate to find someone that would take him in. I can not bear the thought of putting him down when he has so much spirit and life still left in him. He has been an amazing family pet for us and this diagnosis has devastated us to the core. He is friendly, obedient, and playful.
My husband and I work full time and we have 3 young daughters. The sad reality is that we don't have the time available to dedicate the care for Rocket in the way he requires for his new life. He would need a loving home with 24 hour available care.
