My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Covered on the local news is the 11 puppies that were found along highway 42 in Ashland County Ohio around Christmas.

Some are ready to find their forever families now. There were 7 males and the rest were female.

They are $300 and are spayed or neutered, microchipped, wormed (several times) and had 2 sets of puppy vaccines.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

CATS:

The Ashland County Humane Society takes in homeless cats and kittens, caring for them until they can be adopted into loving homes. We do not yet have a shelter, so all of our cats are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption.

All of our cats are feline leukemia tested & FIV tested, wormed, micro chipped, receive vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered prior to being placed up for adoption.

DOGS:

The Ashland County Humane Society also works with the Mansfield Correctional Institute to help homeless dogs in need. Dogs enrolled in the program are housed at the prison, and are cared for by specially selected inmates, who also train the dogs.

A professional dog trainer works with the inmates, teaching them how to train the dogs, who learn basic obedience and are housebroken, making them easier to adopt into families.

All of the dogs receive dewormer, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm test and flea and heart worm treatment and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
