Rowdy is a stunning black Shepherd mix who turned an uncertain start into a bright new future. Picked up as a stray by animal control, this gorgeous boy has quickly shown everyone just how special he is. With his sleek, shiny coat and expressive eyes, Rowdy turns heads wherever he goes—but it’s his brain that really steals the show.
His foster mom calls him one smart cookie, and she’s not wrong! Rowdy already knows several commands, is eager to learn more, and is a quick study—especially when it comes to figuring things out (including how to open doors!). He’s house-trained and confidently uses a doggie door like a pro.
Rowdy loves to run, play, and burn off energy, so he’d thrive with an active family or a canine playmate who can match his enthusiasm for fun. At the end of the day, he’s happy to settle in—he will sleep in a crate, but would much rather snooze in his foster mom’s room close to his people.
Based on his positive interactions in his foster home, we think Rowdy would do best with older children who can appreciate his playful, energetic nature. If you’re looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion who’s ready to be your adventure buddy, Rowdy just might be your perfect match.
