My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscotti is a gentle, observant boy who is still deciding how he feels about being petted, and he appreciates people who respect his boundaries. Found as a very shy kitten in a garage early this winter, Biscotti has come a long way and continues to gain confidence in foster care. (To be fair, once Biscotti finally gives into petting he loves it, but it takes a long time for him to feel safe to allow it).

While he’s not quite ready to be a hands-on cuddle cat, Biscotti loves toys and truly thrives around other kittens. He takes comfort in feline companionship and often gains confidence by watching other cats interact with the world first. Biscotti has taken to following around Fiddlesticks, another cat in his foster home, and they get along wonderfully and would make an amazing pair.

Biscotti is neat with his litterbox, playful in a quiet way, and clearly learning more every day. He’ll need a patient, cat-savvy home that understands trust takes time. A household without little kids is a must.

Biscotti and his sister Cannoli do not have to be adopted together, though they could be. Both kittens love other cats and, if not being adopted together, must go to a home with another friendly cat or kitten to help them feel secure and continue building confidence. Fiddlesticks has become like a big brother to him and they`d make a fantastic pair.

Biscotti is available to be adopted by appointment by approved adopters at his foster home. and will start braving adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center the weekend of January 24.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.

More about this rescue

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.
