A Little Bit About us

Lizzie and Gordo are a lovely bonded pair of tuxedo cats looking for a home on the quiet side. They may be a bit shy at first (mostly Gordo), but give them a little time to adjust and watch their personalities come out! Lizzie is a sweet, vocal girl who loves to show affection with rubs and head bunts. She enjoys wand toy play and helps boost Gordo's confidence. Gordo takes a little longer to warm up, but each day his playfulness and affection grows. He needs a gentle approach and a safe place to hide until he feels safe. These two kitties wanted outside time in their previous home, so they may enjoy playtime in a safe yard. If classy, tuxedo cats catch your eye, you have a bit of patience while they acclimate, and you're ready for double the love and fun, Lizzie and Gordo may be your match! ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED***

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
