Chase is an older—but not old—gentleman who somehow found himself in a shelter in Alabama, a place no dog like him should ever have to be. Friendly, happy, and eager to meet everyone he encounters, Chase quickly shows just how special he is.
Chase is great with other dogs and appears to be house-trained, as he keeps his kennel very clean. He has wonderful manners and a calm, loving presence that makes him easy to fall in love with. Dogs like Chase often end up in shelters through no fault of their own, sometimes due to medical conditions, and that seems to be the case here.
Chase is heartworm positive, but he is currently receiving treatment, and it hasn’t broken his spirit one bit. He remains joyful, affectionate, and full of love. Since arriving at Big Dog Ranch, Chase has been enjoying the comforts, care, and kindness of the ranch—but what he truly dreams of is a home of his own.
Soon, Chase will be finished with his heartworm treatment, and he would love nothing more than to go through the rest of it in a loving home. He’s asking for a chance—for someone to open their heart and give him the life he deserves.
If you’re willing to give Chase that chance, he promises to be the best dog ever. 💕
