My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cheddar Cheese is an orange domestic medium hair tabby male who is approximately 5 years old. He requires a home where he is the only cat.

Meet Cheddar Cheese! This handsome boy has a big heart and a love for people that’s impossible to resist. He can be a little shy at first, but give him some time and patience, and he’ll show you just how affectionate he can be.

Cheddar Cheese loves rubbing up against you, begging for pets, and soaking up attention, especially chin and head scratches. When he’s happy, he’ll flop onto his side and just melt into your hands, enjoying every bit of love you give him.

Cheddar Cheese is curious and brave, always exploring what’s around the corner or behind a closed door. He’s food motivated too, and treats (especially lickable treat tubes) are a great way to win his heart. He’s playful, loving, and full of personality, and once he trusts you, he’ll be your devoted companion through it all.

Cheddar Cheese requires a home where he is the only cat. With a little patience and a calm environment, he’ll show you just how wonderful and affectionate he truly is.

Cheddar Cheese is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. He is FIV and FeLV negative and on parasite preventions. His adoption fee is $300. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
