My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a loyal companion that is always up for some scratches? Then you'll want to meet Tom! Tom is the sweetest four-year-old tuxedo boy with a calm, easygoing personality. Like any cat, he may be shy when he first gets home, but once he feels comfortable with you, he is the friendliest boy you’ll ever meet! Did we mention scratches? Tom loves getting scratches and will reward you with the loudest purrs - seriously, this guy has a motor! He’s very chill overall, and while he prefers relaxing nearby rather than being a full-on in-your-face cuddler, he doesn’t mind being picked up and is super easy to handle. Tom is very food motivated and loves mealtime! You’ll want to portion control or he will eat it all at once. His favourite things include treats, scratches (did we mention scratches?), spring toys, and lounging around, looking as dapper as can be. Tom gets along well with other cats and does great with kids, making him the perfect addition to your home!

Tom was found abandoned outside on a trail. After being trapped, it was determined that he was far too friendly to be put back outside. Instead he was brought into foster care before the weather turned cold, where he is patiently waiting for his forever home at last.

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, gentle, and affectionate companion and have lots of scratches to give, Tom could be your perfect match.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
