My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable duo will melt your heart! Solo and Scorpious are the cutest kittens you’ve ever met. Whether they are sleeping in the sun or chasing each other across the room, their sweet faces and tiny kitten noises are sure to make you fall in love.

Scorpius is a little tabby boy learning the joys of soft pets and chin scratches. He just found his motor and loves some ear rubs to get it started. He also has the best working elevator I’ve seen - butt pats are the best! Every day he becomes more brave and is trying to teach his brother to do the same. He also enjoys a warm spot to nap and most times Solo joins him.

Solo is the cutest tuxie girl, and she still thinks she needs to be fierce with an occasional small hiss but no brawn to back it up. This is turning into small mews as we prepare mealtime bowls. She also started to chatter a light reflection on the wall which is always the most joyful noise. They both love playing with the ribbon toy and dragging socks under the bed. Don’t miss out on adopting these fluffy friends!

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
