Meet SHORTY (female, 16 lbs), WIGGLES (female, 14 pounds) and ELO (male, 18 lbs), three darling little mixed breed dogs looking for homes. These little sweethearts came to us from a backyard breeder who told us they were Feist/Dachshund type mixes. Honestly, they look to us like small terrier mixes and so far don't have the hunting dog personalities of Feists. Feists are a breed group from the south, there's no AKC standard so they have a variety of looks. Wiggles looks more like a chiweenie than a feist. So yeah, small mixed breed dogs. These 3 are cuddlers. Elo is about 2 years old and the most outgoing of the three. Shorty is about 18 mos and Wiggles is about 2 years old. Both girls are on the timid side. They were all indoor dogs, living with 20-30 other small dogs so they are definitely dog friendly. Wiggles and Shorty would probably benefit from having another friendly small dog. If you don't currently have a dog, any 2 of these dogs would be fine adopted as a pair. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
