Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Izzy is a sweet boy. Born 10-16-25, he is a great kitten. He will be adopted with his step sibling Tigger, a beautiful short haired orange tabby. Both are loving and playful. They love to be held and loved on. Tigger is the most hesitant of the two. It takes him a day or two to stop hissing at everything strange to him. Then he turns into the most loving kitten. HALO'S cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express ( Google Maps) Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00am to 1:30pm. No adoptions on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Pet Food Express is on Lone Tree Way in Antioch ( 5829 Lone Tree Way B, Antioch, CA 94531 ) . Please bring your own carrier.

All of HALO's cats are available for adoptions have been spayed or neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations.

All the animals are microchipped.

Dogs and cats receive a complete check by a veterinarian.

Go meet their pets

HALO's cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express every Friday 4pm-7pm plus Saturday and Sunday 10am-1:30pm (except the third Saturday, we do not have an adoption event). Pet Food Express is located at 5829 Lone Tree Way B, Antioch, CA.

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
