My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vita has once again learned what the luxury of a warm house, a soft bed, and people to dote on her. And this beautiful green-eyed tortoiseshell girl couldn’t be happier. She had a home once before but then somehow, she ended up at a construction site as a hungry stray. That was not a good life. But now that she's been rescued, everything has changed!

Vita is the sweetest, friendliest, and most lovable girl around. She will happily greet you at the door when you come home from errands and will help you all around the house. Reading, sewing, knitting, watching TV she is just tickled to sit in your lap and soak up all the attention. This little beauty enjoys sitting on your chest while reading a book in bed and nosing your hand for head rubs and pets. She gets along with the other cats in her foster home but doesn’t want to make friends so she would be okay as an only cat if she gets LOTS of attention from her family. With how loving she is she should be just fine with gentle children. We don’t know about dogs, but possibly a mellow dog would be okay. We think she is a couple years old.

Vita will need a safe yard to bask in the sun, hunt bugs, and just enjoy the softness of grass beneath her feet come summertime. A sunny day spent with her family will top off the perfect life. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089.

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
