We adopted the beautiful and uncharacteristically calm Ellie from a local SPCA in 2015 when she was a few months old. For the past five years she's been living in a household with children.
She is at her best when you let her come to you for affection and will gently let you know when that time has come to an end. She has exhibited a great deal of patience toward our boys.
She is very friendly with adult guests, and likes to eat dry kibble for treating hairballs, sink faucet water, and a daily-scooped litter-box. She also lets me clip her claws which I do every few weeks
Our children have been too rough and loud with her, to which she has always given flight instead of fighting, but despite her seemingly bottomless patience, in spending most of her time evading, our third child a now newborn, and based on my own childhood experience we think it is time for her to find a new home to live out her next phase of life while she still has her patience with the small humans.
