My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Walker
Good with kids: Unknown
Good with dogs: Unknown
Good with cats: Would do fine with time
Housebroken: Yes

Walker was surrendered to the shelter with his brother Rick after his owner`s landlord said `no cats!` He is more outgoing than his brother, but he is very good at calming down and cuddling up as well. Whenever there`s anything new to see, Walker will be right there to sniff it! Walker can get a little nervous when meeting new cats, but given time and a proper introduction, he could learn to get along with another cat.

Since Rick and Walker have been together since they were kittens, we are adopting them out together.

More about this shelter

The Aberdeen Area Humane Society serves the northern South Dakota and southern North Dakota area. We are here in the interests of animal welfare. We place homeless animals into good homes as well as rescue animals from abusive situations. We have a shelter facility just southwest of Aberdeen and house many animals while we try to find them good homes. We are a non-profit organization and are funded by memberships, donations, fundraisers and adoptions.

If you suspect an animal is being mistreated and/or abused, contact us. We will investigate or refer to the appropriate agency. Your call can be kept confidential and we will handle the rest.
