Safari is a lovely 3-year old female Torbie kitty who was brought to the HSOV on September 19, 2025 along with her five 5-week old kittens (Crocodile, Giraffe, Hyena, Lion, and Toucan). This little momma and her babies were found on Second Street in Marietta Ohio, so we were thankful that Safari could raise her kittens in a safe environment instead of near a busy street.
Safari has a brown tabby short smooth coat with orange highlights in a torbie pattern, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful face with large green/golden eyes, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and extra-long white whiskers.
Safari has a super-sweet outgoing 'Type A' personality. She loves her people friends and also gets along great with other cats.
She was a wonderful mother to her babies and was separated from her kittens in mid-November after they were fully weaned. Sadly her kitten Crocodile passed away on November 25th.
Safari was given vaccinations on October 2nd and was given booster vaccines on October 22nd 2025. She has been given Drontal wormer. Safari is a petite little lady who weighs approximately 7 lbs.
Safari is currently enjoying a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room where most of our adoptable cats are house. She will be spayed in the near future (tentative in February 2026) and will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
