My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Camille is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old girl who is in search of a new home after sadly losing her beloved mom. She is being cared for by a kind friend who is keeping her fed and happy but needs to find a permanent place for her.

Her caregiver describes her as very active and playful, so she should definitely have a fenced yard where she can run off some of that teenage dog energy! Best of all he says she’s a good girl who listens when she’s called.

Camille lives with another dog (Captain), and they get along beautifully with each other, so she would most likely get along with other dogs. She barks at cats so would probably do best in a home without cats. She is shy with new people, but she is young so she can overcome this with a little help. Once she gets to know a person, though, she is eager to cuddle and show off her sweet side. Her caretaker says she adores a good game of fetch and tug-of-war with her human friends, and she also loves to play with other dogs. She has never lived with children, but he feels that children in the house would help keep her entertained.

This lovely girl weighs about 30 pounds. She is either a purebred English setter (as her previous owner was told) or a mix (she is a bit small for an English setter). Camille is crate trained, but she prefers not to be in the crate. She is mostly house trained but still needs a little work on that. She is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. She is spayed, has no known health problems, and will be brought up to date on her vaccinations prior to adoption. She is ready to find a soft place to land after her sad loss. Camille and Captain might find comfort from staying together if you are looking for two dogs, but they are not bonded and can be adopted separately.

Could this playful youngster be the perfect companion for you? We are helping Camille’s family find her forever home. If you’re interested in learning more or applying to adopt, please get in touch via email (ffocas4pets@gmail.com) or through Adoptapet. We will ask you to fill out a rehoming application to keep this process safe.
