Hammy is a one year old butterball with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is new to rescue but has already made an impression with his friendly, affectionate nature and irresistible charm. Hammy is very people oriented and loves being with his humans. He is dog friendly but has not yet been tested with cats. In his foster home he is working on potty training, crate training and manners and is making steady progress. He loves car rides, affection and long noisy naps. He does great with baths and nail trims. While he loves everyone he is very much like an excitable hippo when hes feeling playful so we would not recommend him for a home with very small children. He is so funny and will keep you laughing with his antics! Hammy is looking for a home where he can be loved and included and continue learning what it means to be a cherished family dog. He was mistreated by his previous owner who was seen dragging and screaming at him before surrendering him to a shelter. He needs a patient adopter who can help him settle into his forever home and learn all the manners and routines of life in a home. He is ready for a fresh start with forever people. Hammy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and prevention and heartworm disease negative! Our Rescue is 100% donation based all the way to adoption. We do not have set adoption fees, but we do require a donation to be made at the time of adoption. Donations go towards saving other animals and preparing them for their new lives in their new homes! We ask to allow 7-10 days for us to process your application as our rescue is volunteer based. A lot of times it takes us less time to review and approve you, but please be patient as the animals are our first priority! Please keep an eye on your junk/spam box as often times our emails land there. Once you complete an adoption application you will receive an auto email from us letting you know that we have received your application!

With this mobile outreach, we aim to reduce pet overpopulation, improve animal health, and support families who love their pets but need a little extra help.
