My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾💙 Meet Kiko! 💙🐾

Kiko is a 1-year, 3-month-old, 53 lb Coonhound/Mixed Breed who’s ready to be someone’s loyal family dog! This handsome boy loves attention and thrives when he’s part of the action. If you’re nearby, he wants to be too. 🐶✨

Kiko does well around cats and will happily ignore them (no cuddling required 😄). He has a healthy appetite and does best being fed separately, as he can be protective of his food - not aggressive, just a guy who prefers his mealtime personal space.

🐕 A Few Things to Know About Kiko:
• Great family dog with a friendly, social personality
• Loves attention and being included
• Cat-friendly (respectful and uninterested) 🐱
• Food guarding present (best fed alone)
• Young, active, and still learning

Kiko would do well in a home that understands basic dog management, offers structure, and is excited to help a young dog continue to grow into his best self. With guidance and consistency, he’ll be an amazing companion for the right family 💛

More about this rescue

At Aloha Ilio, we strive to ensure every dog is matched up with an owner that is serious about the commitment adopting a dog entails, while at the same time ensuring that both parties are happy to become a family together. Above even our desire to rescue dogs is ensuring that those already under our care have the best quality of life possible. We strive to ensure our facilities stay clean, our dogs have the opportunity to stretch their legs, and all of them get the medical care and attention they deserve.
