Wayne is at our Adirondack Region Cat Adoption Center in Glens Falls, NY.

Wayne is a tenderhearted young boy who came to the center after being born to a stray mom at a local camp. After overcoming some early sickness, he’s grown into a healthy young cat who’s now ready for his forever home. Wayne starts off a bit shy and skittish, preferring to observe quietly before deciding it’s safe—but with a gentle touch, he quickly relaxes and settles into soft, steady purrs. He has a laidback personality and appreciates calm, predictable environments where he can ease into new routines at his own pace. Wayne would thrive best in a quiet, lowstress home with someone patient enough to let his sweet nature blossom. For an adopter who loves earning the trust of shy, gentle cats, Wayne is a truly rewarding companion.

When you come down to NSALA an associate will help you figure out what kind of animal will do best in your situation. At that point they will take out the animals you are interested in so that you may get to know them. You will have plenty of time to play and interact with your new friend in our family friendly areas designated for that purpose. When you decide you want to adopt, an associate will help you fill out an application.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies (up to 6 months) $350
Adult Dogs (over 6 months) $100
Puppy Mill Rescues $250
Small Breed & Pure Breeds (over 6 months) $250
Kittens (up to 6 months) $100
Double Kittens $150
Adult Cats (over 6 months) $50
Double Adult Cats $75

Where applicable, a $50 Spay/Neuter deposit is required for kittens, $75 for puppies.

Our Adoption Center, is open every Thursday-Sunday 12pm-8pm. On average, our shelter is home to 350 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Behind the scenes, the Adoption Center contains a nursery area, medical examination room and a grooming area where new admissions are health checked, vaccinated, bathed and groomed.

Visitors are reminded that adoption is a lifelong commitment. After selecting a pet, each potential adopter is thoroughly screened, ensuring each adopter recognizes the life-changing commitment a new pet can be. To date, over 1,000,000 pet owners have met our high standards and adopted a pet from North Shore Animal League America.
