My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovely Luna 🌙
Luna is a 5-month-old sweetheart who is absolutely thrilled to have left a crowded shelter behind after being found as a stray. This friendly little girl has a quick, happy purr and is always eager for attention. She loves being close to her people and will happily weave around your ankles—so much so you’ll need to watch your step!

Now that she has room to stretch her legs, Luna is discovering the joy of playtime and showing off her kitten energy. She sports a beautiful dark gray coat with subtle striping that appears when the light hits just right.

Although not formally tested, Luna’s age and easygoing purr-sonality suggest she would likely do well with another young, friendly cat and may even be comfortable in a home with a dog. She is a mixed-breed kitten (not hypoallergenic) and ready to continue blossoming in a loving forever home.

We can’t wait to learn even more about this charming girl—could Luna be the perfect addition to your family? 💕 Posted 1/16/26

Additional adoption info

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $165-$185, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits may be required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are cared for in cage-free private foster homes; therefore, we request an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them. Request an application by emailing us through our website. Adopters must live within a reasonable driving distance to No. VA ( maximum 60 minutes); we do not ship/transport our animals.

More about this rescue

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
