If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Brown Girl is 9 years old. We have had her since she was 9 weeks. She was rescued from a cold-weather situation with her mom and a little of 5 other puppies. Brown Girl is sweet, well-behaved, smart, and easy-going. She is not startled or bothered by loud noises (thunderstorm, fireworks, etc.). She loves a schedule and is very social (she wants to be wherever her owner is). She does well when I'm gone from the house for the day. She goes to her room, gets into her unlocked cage and stays until I return. She is not a barker nor a growler. She has never lived with other pets but has always been around children. She does have skin allergy issues that are managed by an occasional shot or meds.
We are rehoming Brown Girl because my allergies have gotten considerably worse, and my work travel schedule has increased. In 2025 Brown Girl spent 128 days in boarding. I think thats selfish and unfair, she deserves someone who can love on her in her senior years and spend time w/her
