Larry is a classically adorable Orange Guy: a fun, affectionate 1-year-old goofball looking for the purrfect furever home where he can be lavished with love and silly antics.
This handsome boy is as affectionate as they come. He has never met a human he didn't wish to burrow into; he just loves to love!
This chonky lover boy is an engaging conversationalist who freely shares his thoughts with his squeaky, high-pitched meows. He is a curious explorer who does enjoy nibbling on plants, so his forever home should make sure to have only pet-friendly plants.
Larry's energy level is medium; he enjoys lounging when he is not busy exploring, but he would benefit from daily play and lots of cuddles - he loves to curl up on laps like a baby. Larry tolerates adult cats but dislikes kittens and would be happiest as a solo pet, with people who are around a lot to shower him with affection.
This handsome ginger's ideal home would be fairly quiet and calm - loud noises and lots of activity are kind of scary for him - but should offer lots and lots of opportunities for human interaction. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
