**CURRENTLY BEING HOUSE AT OUR FOREPAWS LOCATION** Located at 453 Ridge Road in Minooka. Open for viewing/adoptions during their regular business hours. Must apply in person. Feel free to call Forepaws for details at 779-456-7899
Meet Bonk, a two-year-old black cat with the chubbiest cheeks, thick little paws, and one of the best personalities you’ll ever meet. Bonk came to us as a stray and had clearly been through a lot — he arrived with several bite wounds across his body, with the worst injury on his forearm. Despite everything, Bonk was an absolute champ through cleaning, debriding, and treatment, showing us just how gentle and sweet his spirit truly is. This outgoing boy loves to put on a full performance when you walk by his kennel. Bonk will roll around, flop onto his back, stretch his chunky paws toward you, and meow happily, clearly hoping to charm you into stopping for a visit. His mellow, affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around, and he does great with other cats. Because of his life outdoors and his previous injuries, Bonk tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long, happy, normal lives and can safely live with other friendly, non-aggressive cats — Bonk included! He just needs a loving indoor home where he can stay safe and healthy. Bonk is ready to trade his rough past for a future filled with soft beds, full food bowls, and people who adore his goofy, lovable personality. Because of his previous wounds, Bonk may hobble at times but we have confirmed that he has no fractures. Just weakness that may become arthritic in the future. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate cat who will make you smile every day, Bonk might just be your perfect match. His adoption fee is $80, and includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, registered microchip, FIV/FeLV test, current on flea preventive, and neuter. He is already fixed. Call our office for adoption details at 815-725-0333.
