Hickory is a calm, sweet, medium energy guy with a gentle presence that makes home life easy. During a recent foster break, settled right in, kept his space clean, and showed off his good manners like knowing sit and politely hopping off furniture when asked. Hickory enjoys daily walks, does well on a leash with a harness, and lights up for tennis balls when it is time to play. He is friendly and affectionate without being overwhelming, happy to relax nearby while still keeping an eye on household sounds like a little neighborhood watch captain. He was comfortable being left alone for a few hours, and handled it all with ease. If you are looking for a well behaved, potty trained companion and a calm vibe, Hickory is ready to meet you.

LifeLine embraces the Adopters Welcome approach. This philosophy encourages conversation-based and open-minded adoptions, enabling us to find more homes for our shelter pets without unnecessary judgment.
We have many wonderful pets waiting to be yours! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.
