Steiner was first spotted living in the ditch behind a grocery store in March of 2024, covered in wounds and struggling to survive. After a brief medical rehab stint, he was neutered and returned due to not being very social.
Born 4/15/2020
Fast forward to a year later and it turns out that Steiner was just terrified of being outside and is actually very sweet. He loves pets, eat as much mushy wet food as he can, to be brushed, being close to his human, and is discovering the joy of toys, especially Yeowww! catnip bananas. He's missing a few teeth and his tongue sticks out a little bit but it only adds to his charm.
Steiner would thrive in a quiet home where he can continue to emerge from his shell and make up for lost time. He's not a fan of being picked up but is perfectly content to snuggle next to you while you watch TV or doom scroll on the internet. Steiner gets along with other cats if they leave him alone, okay with older kids, but afraid of dogs.
If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
