My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piage (French for trap) — and yes, she was literally trapped right before the big storm.

Luck was on her side that day. When Piage was spayed, our vet found a growth wrapped around her pancreas. His words, not ours: she would not be here without that surgery. Coming to BCHS truly saved her life.

Now? She’s healing, gaining confidence, and showing us who she really is.
✔️ Good with other dogs
✔️ A little shy with men at first, but warms up quickly
✔️ Gentle, resilient, and ready for her next chapter

Piage has been through a lot — and we can’t wait to watch her bloom in a home of her own.

3 years old | 44 lbs | Fully vetted

More about this shelter

We are a small rural shelter that works very hard to find homes or rescues for our dogs. We have a 97% save rate at our shelter which we are very pleased about. Our staff and volunteers work very hard for our dogs. We are always looking for volunteers to help us clean kennels, walk dogs, and just spend some time with the dogs. Donations are very important for our shelter, as we operate on donations.
We have some of the best dogs in Ohio and would love for them to find a new furever home with you!
