My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peanut — fluffy, friendly, and frequently upside down.

Peanut is a gorgeous long-haired orange tabby boy with a soft coat, a sweet face, and a personality that somehow manages to be both gentle and delightfully silly. He’s an older kitten who would love a home with a playful kitty of even a dog companion to keep him company and share adventures with.

Peanut is easy to handle and very affectionate. He’ll happily hop onto the bed for cuddles and pets, and once he’s comfortable, he’s all about being close to his people. He also has a very special relationship with dogs — he loves them. In his foster home, he’s completely obsessed with one of the resident dogs. They groom each other, cuddle together, and generally act like best friends who refuse to be separated.

Now for Peanut’s signature move: the barrel roll. If he’s on your lap, a couch, or any surface at all, chances are he’ll be rolling off it in slow motion, often ending up on his back in the funniest positions imaginable. He spends a lot of time upside down and is not particularly athletic, but what he is perfect at? Being adorable.

His favorite toy is very specific: the tail of an opossum stuffie. He worked hard for that lone tail and he won't let you forget it. He knows it's a prize and he is determined to protect it forever and he takes that responsibility very seriously.

Peanut can be a bit shy when scared and may hide to nap or decompress, but he’s easily coaxed out with a gentle voice and affection. He does best with companionship and would thrive in a home with a doggie friend (as it seems that he loves them best) or another friendly cat he could become besties with.

If you’re looking for a fluffy orange boy who loves cuddles, dogs, and rolling dramatically onto his back at every opportunity, Peanut is ready to tumble his way into your heart.
