Copper is a good-looking 4-year old male Treeing Walker Coonhound who was brought to HSOV on January 11, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Twin Bridges Road in the Little Hocking Ohio area. Copper was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
This handsome guy has a white short smooth coat with patch of black on both of his sides, long legs, a long tail, and a beautiful tricolor symmetrically-marked Coonhound face. Copper has cute freckles on his muzzle and magnificent brown velvet ears that just beg to be petted.
These photos were taken on January 12, 2026 when HSOV Kennel Tech Emily Beaver accompanied Copper for outdoor pictures and a chance to stretch his long legs and follow his nose. Copper doesn't appear to have been introduced to the 'walking on a leash' concept, but he thoroughly enjoyed his 15-minutes of fame running laps around Emily (smile).
Copper weighs 39.2 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim trim physique.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Copper was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this awesome boy.
