Goldie came into the rescue as a scared, stray mama of 3 little kittens. Although she was scared and shy, she's always had a heart of gold. So much so that she brought her kittens to the porch of a good Samaritan that she trusted to help her feed her babies and herself. Sweet, loving and observant.
Goldie's babies have since been adopted out to their forever homes giving her a chance to blossom even more in her foster home that she shares with 2 other cats and a large dog. There are times that she prefers to hide inside of her box or cat tree when she feels overwhelmed but she keeps on trying to do her best and fit in with the rest of the family. I can't imagine going from a lifetime of surviving the streets to a warm house with lots of commotion would be the easiest transition, but she's doing her best.
Sweet Goldie would thrive in a home that is calm and predictable. That way she can continue to flourish socially. She gets along great with other cats and kittens as well as our large dog.
The way to Goldie's heart is with churus, temptations treats and lots of booty pats. She LOVES getting booty pats and will flop around to let you scratch her tummy as well!
Her ideal forever home will be patient and kind and understand that this sweet girl is doing her very best to know that she's safe and loved. There's not a single mean bone in her body. With time, love and understanding Goldie will be the best companion and housemate for any new family.
