Higgins makes the happiest addition to any setting. Joy radiates from him; when he is happy, his whole body wags! Higgins was found on a back porch in Chicago, but no one in the building claimed ownership. Sadder still, no one came looking for him. It is a shame that such a good boy waited at Chicago Animal Care and Control for over a month, but there are simply so many dogs in need and sometimes our block-headed, black, bully type friends are the first to be overlooked. Well, we are so glad that Higgins stood out to us recently! We are happy that he is a Heartland dog.
Higgins has been so much fun already, making dog and human friends, and exploring our new dog run! Higgins walks well on leash, and seems like he has had some training. We are sure he was someone's pet. We know Higgins must miss being in a home, and we hope to see him back in one very soon!
