Bean is an energetic and playful 3-year-old neutered male tabby cat looking for a home. Bean would do best in a home without young children, as an only cat (preferred) or with other young cats. He is currently taking daily fluoxetine for anxiety, but may not need it in a low-stress home.
Bean came to me after developing anxiety due to a toddler in his previous home. Unfortunately, the anxiety persisted in my home, due to conflict with my less playful senior cat. Therefore, I am seeking a better home for Bean, to improve his quality of life. It is very possible that, after some time in a lower-anxiety setting (and with vet approval), he will no longer need daily medication.
Bean does not like to be picked up or hugged, but he is affectionate, seeking pets and human interaction. He is chatty, curious, and intelligent. He has an excellent appetite, and enjoys playing with people and other energetic cats. He would be a great fit for someone looking for an interactive, playful cat.
