Everyone, please meet Addy Susan a 3+ year old rescue mix. Multiple moves, and an increasingly unpredictable job/schedule for myself and partner, have paid their toll on our sweet girl, and as a result, her confidence being home alone has regressed.
Based on the work I’ve done with Addy, and what recent trainers have said, she just needs more consistency, a more predictable schedule structure and it’d help to have another (small to medium sized) dog to help lead the way. Addy is super smart, incredible around kids / babies, is food motivated, does well keeping herself busy with chew toys and loves playing with dogs her size or smaller. She is gentle with all living things and almost never barks. She’s most content being curled up on the couch with her people or lying in the grass outside. She sleeps in her crate happily each night (but would also love to snuggle with you).
The ideal situation for Addy would be a home with a family, another pup, people around for more consistency.
