My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We adopted Callie from the Yakima Shelter Sept 2025. Our previous dog passed away in Oct 2024 and left a big hole in our lives. We were told that Callie was 2 yr old, but she was about 6 mos and she has the energy of a young dog and more that we can handle at our age.

She is super sweet and having to rehome her breaks our hearts, but know she’d be better off in a more active home. We have two cats that she gets along with, she loves people and plays well with other dogs. She likes lots of attention which we aren’t able to give her. Her fur is very soft. It’s the first things people say about her. She takes treats gently, no biting.

She had three weeks of boot camp training at Lead Me On in Yelm and knows basic commands. She has never had an accident in the house, knows how to ask to go out. Walks well on a leash, and tolerates baths.

We will include her beds, toys, food and dishes, plus adoption and vet records. Our only hope is she will get her forever home this time.
