My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marmalade and Navelina 🍊💛

Marmalade, the proud mama of our lively orange-themed kitten crew, is finally enjoying some peace and quiet. After weeks of raising a rambunctious bunch, she’s loving her calm, cozy spots and occasionally giving a side-eye to anyone who disturbs her newfound serenity. A little moody but endlessly lovable, Marmalade is ready to share her heart (on her terms) with the right forever home.

Navelina, Marmalade’s sister, is the exact opposite—outgoing, social, and full of charm. She loves to be the center of attention, greets visitors with enthusiasm, and will happily make herself part of your daily routine whether you like it or not. She’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a lively, affectionate cat who keeps life exciting.

Together—or individually—they make a fantastic pair: Marmalade brings calm and sass, Navelina brings energy and affection. Both would thrive in loving homes that appreciate their distinct personalities.

Both Marmalade and Navelina have been spayed, microchipped, and are current on vaccines and flea prevention.
All New Leash cats must be strictly indoor and may not be declawed.
Adoption fee for each is $50.
If your home is ready for a mix of calm sophistication and playful attention-seeking energy, Marmalade and Navelina are ready to move in and make themselves right at home 🐾💛

More about this rescue

New Leash on Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.

Our goals include the following:

To educate the public about the importance of having their pets spayed or neutered, and to provide low or no cost surgeries for those in need.

To shelter and provide care for stray, abused, or relinquished animals.

To educate the general population about the seriousness of pet overpopulation.

To end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation.

To find good homes for the animals in our care.

Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal. We will continue with our aggressive spay/neuter campaign and our owner education programs in the hopes that any pet ever adopted will find a permanent, loving home. We believe that with the involvement of our community we will make a significant impact on the welfare of companion animals, but we need your help and understanding. Together, will make the difference.
