Here's what the humans have to say about me:
YOU'RE GONNA LOVE GRETCHEN!
Our sweet Gretchen had been having a terrible time when she was brought to one of our spay/neuter clinics. She had been abandoned and was trying her best to fend for herself, as well as her litter of kittens who soon arrived on the scene. We all wish this was a rare event but, sadly, it happens all the time. People get 'free' kittens, then dump them when they're about to have kittens themselves, only a few short months later. Babies having babies!
Gretchen is about a year old, she's been spayed, wormed, vaccinated and is a very good girl with her litter box. As you can see from her pictures with Brinley, our professional Kitty Cuddler, she adores people of all sizes. Two legged or four, Gretchen loves everybody! When she was brought to the clinic to be spayed by the person who found her, they said they didn't really want her so were giving her to a neighbor. The neighbor didn't really want her either, so was going to put her outside for varmint control. Much as we don't need to be looking for more cats, we couldn't let a kitty this friendly be chucked outside again to face the perils of the wild, so we offered to take her in. Her lucky forever family will be very glad we did! Gretchen is as lovable as she can be, always ready to jump in the nearest lap for a nice long snuggle. Ms. Personality! She was nothing but skin and bones when she first arrived, after making and nursing her kittens with little more than what food she could round up herself. Having gone through those desperate days, she's worried every meal might be her last, so is turning into a bit of a pork chop. Some portion control will be needed in her new home because of that, at least initially. She will gladly trade time at the food bowl for time with you, once she has her very own home. To meet this sweetie pie please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. Her $60 adoption fee will be the best deal you'll ever make!
