If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I’m looking to rehome my sweet girl Lucy, a 9.5-year-old cat who was adopted from AAC in 2016.
Why am I looking to rehome Lucy? She was diagnosed with diabetes in July 2025. She needs a home that can fully meet her medical needs long-term and has a more predictable routine/schedule. I feel overwhelmed and helpless in managing her diabetes care when I’ve already got 3 young kids and a super busy schedule. This decision comes from a place of love and wanting what is best for her.
About Lucy:
Age: 9.5 years
Personality: Sweet but shy, curious, loves snuggles and sunbathing
Temperament: Calm and enjoys a predictable routine
Indoor only (fully declawed)
No issues with kids, cats, or other dogs.
Medical Needs:
Diabetic (July 2025)
Requires insulin and blood sugar monitoring
I am happy to share about current treatment, costs, etc.
This is not urgent and I am looking for a good home for my sweet kitty
