Meet Maximus! A mighty name for a very cute little guy!
Maximus is a 1-year-old hamster who came to us after his previous owner had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to severe allergies and asthma. While Maximus didn’t get as much hands-on time as some hamsters, he’s been doing his best to figure out this whole human world thing on his own terms.
Maximus is a bit shy and prefers the art of expert-level hiding, but lately he’s been slowly coming out of his shell—popping out to explore, sniff the air, and remind everyone just how adorable he is.
He may never be a super snuggly, hold-me-all-the-time hamster—and that’s okay! Maximus shines in other ways:
