Adopt Barbie
Gentle • Loyal • Sweet Mama
Name: Barbie
Age: 4 years
Sex: Spayed Female
Breed: Mixed
Color: Brown / White
Weight: 6.6 kg (14.5 lbs)
Height: 34 cm (13.4 in) at the shoulder
Rescue Story
Barbie was rescued from a city shelter together with her puppy, Bukku.
She is a devoted and gentle mom who has shown resilience and quiet strength through her journey.
With People
Barbie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially with treats.
She has a cautious personality and likes to take a moment to observe and make sure she feels safe. Once she feels comfortable, she will softly ask for attention.
She allows handling, can be gently picked up by supporting her belly, and once bonded, she happily shows her belly for rubs. She is affectionate in a calm, sweet way.
With Other Dogs
Barbie will approach unfamiliar dogs to sniff, but she mainly plays with her daughter Bukku and prefers calm interactions.
She tends to avoid larger dogs, high-energy dogs, or dogs that are overly pushy.
Currently, she lives peacefully with other dogs and has no conflicts.
With Cats
No direct observation yet.
Cat testing can be arranged if needed.
Energy Level
Low to medium energy.
She enjoys outdoor activities but settles down nicely and rests calmly afterward.
Walking
Barbie has limited leash-walking experience.
If she encounters something scary, she may stop, but she loves sniffing and will slowly continue with gentle encouragement.
Other Notes
• No food guarding (with people or dogs)
• No separation anxiety
• Not a barker overall, but may give a soft “request bark” when asking for attention
• Calm in a crate
• Car rides are scary for her—she needs to be carried into the car
• Potty routine: outdoor during the day, pee pads indoors at night
Barbie would do best in a calm, patient home that can give her time to build trust and feel secure. Once she does, she becomes a loving and devoted companion.
If you’re looking for a gentle, quiet soul to share your life with, Barbie may be the perfect match.
