Hi… um… hello there!
My name is Lilian, and I’m a shy little girl with a tender heart and a whole lot of love
saved for the person who earns my trust.
I won’t be the first to rush up and say hi. I like to observe from a safe distance, take in
the energy of a room, and make sure I feel secure. New things can be a little
overwhelming for me—but if you’re patient and kind, I promise I’m worth the wait.
When I finally feel safe, my true self comes out. I become the softest, sweetest cuddle
companion. I’ll purr like it’s my full-time job, make biscuits with serious dedication, and
give gentle head butts to let you know you’re officially my person. I love curling up in
your lap on the couch for cozy cuddles, and when it’s time to sleep, I’ll settle by your
feet—my favorite spot to feel close and protected all night long.
I would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who appreciates quiet moments and
understands that trust grows best when it’s never rushed. Preferrably, I’d like a home where I
can be the only pet without small children. A peaceful environment, a gentle routine,
and a human who enjoys slow mornings, soft voices, and meaningful companionship
would make my little heart feel safe and full. I’m especially perfect for someone who
believes the deepest bonds are built through patience, consistency, and love.
I may be shy, but once I choose you, I choose you completely. I don’t just want a
home—I want my person. Someone who will celebrate the first time I hop into their lap,
the first head butt, the first night I decide their feet are where I belong.
If you’re looking for a gentle soul to share your couch, your quiet evenings, and your
heart…
I’ll be right here, waiting for you.
Love always,
Lilian

Interested in adopting? Please visit our website at www.thecatsmeowanimalrescue.org to fill out an application. One application covers all cats and kittens staying at our Petco locations, and those in individual foster homes.
Questions? Email us at info@thecatsmeowanimalrescue.org or reach out on Instagram: @thecatsmeowanimalrescue
1. Submit an adoption application at www.thecatsmeowanimalrescue.org
2. If you have not yet met the cat(s) you wish to adopt, come to an adoption event or schedule a foster home visit to meet the cat(s). Please note that we cannot schedule any private foster home visits until you submit an application.
3. If your application is approved, we will contact you within a week to schedule a home visit. One of our experienced volunteers will stop by your home to ensure that you are able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the cat. We may also provide tips for integrating the cat into your home environment.
4. We ask for a minimum tax-deductible donation* of $225.00 for each cat you adopt from us. Donations may be made online (via a secure PayPal transaction) or in-person via cash or check. If you are adopting a pair of kitties, the donation is $200.00 each ($400.00 total).
*Additional donations are highly encouraged, as they enable us to rescue another cat from the shelter or the streets. Because our organization is a non-profit run entirely by volunteers, we rely solely on donations to continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and neglected cats.
5. We will have you sign an Adoption Agreement detailing the terms of the adoption at the time you collect your new kitty. You may view a copy of it on our website.
6. That’s it! You will communicate with the cat’s foster parents to coordinate pick-up. Please always transport your cat in a carrier for safety.
7. We will email or mail you a copy of your Adoption Agreement, a letter confirming your donation, and medical records and microchip information. This usually takes about 2 weeks.
In addition to receiving individualized medical care, we provide the following services to our cats: spay/neuter, microchip, testing for FELV/FIV, flea and dewormer treatments, and vaccinations.
