My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shirley Temple. This girl is pure charm, sweetness, and twinkle-eyed magic. Shes the kind of pup who could brighten even the chilliest winter day with her playful spirit and her heart-melting smile.Shirley would enjoy a home with a dog friend or two to show her the ropes and who can enjoy her playful bursts of energy. Shirley is visually impaired with an early diagnosis of cataracts and dry eye. Despite her vision challenges she learned to navigate her foster home in just a few days. The outside is a little more challenging and she does best when her person is out talking to her to keep on the right path or one of her foster siblings is close by. When it comes to food Shirley takes her meals very seriously. She believes all food is her food so she eats in her crate quietly and patiently waits to be let out to confirm her foster siblings didnt miss anything. She learned to use the dog door quietly and goes outside to do her business like a champ! Shes loving of all people and wants to be on a lap 24/7. She will steal every blanket in the house and then manage to disappear under one undetected due to her tiny size. She is energetic at times and other times happy to sleep the day away. She is goofy when she gets excited and thinks pants and sleeves are for tug of war. Her foster mom is working with her and introducing toys as an outlet instead. Whether shes bouncing around the house, snuggling in for a movie night, or tapping your foot saying pick me up, she brings a constant smile to your face. This little sweetheart is ready to find her perfect forever family, just in time to make your Christmas feel a little brighter, cozier, and more magical. If youre looking for a joyful, loving companion who brings pure holiday cheer wherever she goes, Shirley Temple is ready to take center stage in her new home.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Church of Pug.
Everyone at Church of Pug is a volunteer. We wear many hats - we foster pugs, travel to vet appointments, attend fundraising events, process a lot of paperwork, and more. We make every effort to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but often the days get away from us. For this reason, we will do our best to reach out to everyone. We’ll let you know your application has been received either through a phone call, text or email.
PLEASE take your time completing the below application and fill out questions in detail! This is the information our adoption team will use to make initial determinations when selecting applicants to proceed in the interview process as dogs become available and we begin the process of finding its forever family.

READ the information on each dog's biography page carefully. If you are interested in applying to adopt a dog, please ensure you meet the stated requirements. All of these dogs live with our foster families and that means we know their story -- we understand what they have been through and what they need in a forever home. All decisions are made with the dogs' best interests in mind.
