We got a call in the middle of the night about this sweet girl. A call that stopped us in our tracks. Its not often the shelter reaches out after hoursso when they do, we know its serious. A tiny 6-week-old pug puppy had been found abandoned in a park, cold, weak, and barely hanging on. This precious baby girl, now named Nyx, was suffering from a severe anal prolapse. Despite everything the shelter tried, nothing was working. She urgently needed advanced specialty carewithout it, she simply would not survive. Nyx underwent two surgeries to repair the prolapse, and she nearly didnt make it. She stopped eating, she was fading fast, and if not for the skilled, dedicated medical team caring for her around the clock, we would have lost her. But this tiny warrior wasnt ready to give up. Today, Nyx is gaining weight, eating well, and finally on her road to recovery. Shes a sweet, playful, happy little puppy who has fought harder in her first weeks of life than most ever will. Once she is fully healed, she will make a truly incredible addition to someones family. Nyx is proof that even the smallest lives can show the greatest courageand that rescue truly does change everything.
