🌼 Meet Kata – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Soft Place to Land 🌼
Currently in care with Wet Noses Rescue | San Diego CA Can travel within the USA or to Canada with flight angel escorts
Kata is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl. She was rescued from outside a home in Bucerías, where she was found skin and bones—fragile, frail, and in desperate need of care. Since coming into rescue, she has already shown wonderful signs of improvement. Her energy is returning, her coat is filling in, and her gentle personality is beginning to shine through.
Kata enjoys human companionship and seeks out quiet affection. She would be happiest in a calm, peaceful home, where she can bask in sunny spots, curl up on laps, and wait patiently for soft cuddles. She’s not demanding—just content to be near her people and enjoy love at her own gentle pace.
Medically, Kata is still being thoughtfully evaluated- She has elevated blood sugar levels that we are currently testing and evaluating with a vet team. We are also assessing her vision, as she does not seem to see well—this has been present since her rescue. A full medical review is underway, and updates will be provided as we learn more.
Kata will have our complete Cat protocol :
* Complete Health exam by a Vet * Feline tests to rule out FeLV, FIV & Heartworm * Bloodwork 1: CBC (Mycoplasma check if indicated) * Bloodwork 2: Chem profile * Deworming at intake and monthly thereafter * Vaccines: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Distemper (FP), Calicivirus (FCV), Rabies * Spay/Neuter * Flea/Tick prevention * Microchipping
If you have room in your heart and home for a gentle soul who simply wants peace, warmth, and love, Kata may be the perfect match for you.

Two women, one American, and one Mexican met in Sayulita through their mutual concern for the many sick, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs and cats in the area.
They began working together informally to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for these animals. Their efforts eventually led to the formation of Wet Noses Rescue, which has grown from a small backyard operation to an expanding nonprofit housed on a property with dedicated facilities in Punta de Mita. Providing the animals with health care, rehabilitation, socialization, and careful evaluation which is needed for a successful adoption to new homes in the United States and Canada.
Wet Noses Rescue also provides Spay/Neuter clinics in the local community to reduce overpopulation and vaccinations to reduce the prevalence of serious diseases such as Parvo and Distemper.
