My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

2/10/26 Nora This beautiful girl is about 12 weeks old. Her mom is a Belgian Malinois (pictured at the end). Dad is a stray tri colored mixed breed.
I have tons more pics and some videos! Feel free to message us and we can pass them along to you.
Nora was previously living outside with her siblings (because that’s the only option we had for them) but now she’s in a new foster home and quickly getting used to living inside.
She seems to already be starting to get the hang of house training. She is good with other dogs. She loves to play with toys and often grabs a toy and entertains herself. As with most puppies, she’d like to find out what shoes taste like. She is a little shy at first but is a sweet, friendly pup. She hasn’t been around cats or kids yet, but given she’s just a puppy, she should be just fine with both.
Nora seems to be a smart girl and is food motivated! Given her mom’s breed, she will need a family who will invest some time into training her and working with her so she can grow up to be the best she can be.
Spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
In New England.

This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.

More about this rescue

Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporter we use most often Pack Leaders (www.plrdogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
