Nipsy is an 8-year-old sweet, sensitive boy who just needs a little time to feel safe. After spending his life in one home, he entered foster care through no fault of his own and is learning to trust again. These days, Nipsy has the run of his foster house and is out and about during the daytime — quietly exploring, lounging in his favorite window, and keeping an eye on his surroundings. We’re so proud of how far he’s come! By evening, though, he truly shines. After 7 p.m. (lovingly known as his “witching hour”), he turns on the charm and comes out to play and purr. He loves making biscuits, rubbing around his person’s legs, and soaking up pets and scratches. While he doesn’t quite seek out attention just yet, he clearly enjoys it — and we think with time, he’ll grow even more confident about asking for it. He absolutely loves the companionship of his foster brothers and sister (one of whom is a calm dog) and seems happiest when he has other critters nearby. Nipsy may hiss at first, but it’s only fear — never aggression. Once he realizes you’re a friend, he’s incredibly sweet. Nipsy’s ideal home would be calm and patient, with a gentle routine and at least one other cat to keep him company. He truly blossoms with feline friends around. Nipsy really is the sweetest boy. If you're interested in meeting him, please complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.
