Meet Luna!

Luna is a one-year-old mixed breed with retriever influence, weighing about 35 pounds, and shes full of puppy fun and personality. Shes friendly and is quite approachable, even with strangers.

She recently went to a pet store adoption event where she happily soaked up attention and affection from her handlerand showed off her impressive nose, earning the nickname chicken nugget thief after cleverly snagging a snack from a purse! Treats will definitely be the key to her heart (and her training).

Luna is still learning leash skills and will benefit from continued training and more outings to help her grow and polish her manners. With positive reinforcement and guidance, this affectionate young girl will make a wonderful companion.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
