I spent my early years as a breeder dog living outside and sadly arrived to FCCR heartworm positive. But GOOD NEWS, I just finished my treatment and I’m expected to make a full recovery. I’m SO ready for my new life and now looking for my forever home!
I’m a little shy, especially around men, so I need an experienced cocker spaniel adopter who gets that I need time and patience. When we’re out walking and I see strangers especially men, I might hide behind you…I’m learning to be more confident and brave but it takes time.
I LOVE being outdoors and seeing wildlife. I LIGHT up when I spot wildlife—ibis, bunnies, birds—and I transform into the happiest girl ever! My tail untucks, my worries disappear, and I’m just pure JOY!
I love other dogs, but not sure about cats and no young kids for me - they move quickly and startle me. I’m nervous around loud and unexpected noises (vacuums, lawn equipment, trucks) and I can bolt out an open door if scared. But each day I’m learning how wonderful it is to be an inside dog and be a valued family member. I’m discovering how amazing dog beds are and I’m starting to follow my people around asking for treats and pets!

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.
FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
