Duchess is a lovable senior sweetheart with a soft, silky short coat in beautiful shades of gray, tan, and black. Her expressive green-and-golden eyes and gentle headbutts will quickly steal your heart, and once she starts purring, it’s hard to believe she ever stops. She also has a charming quirk—she absolutely adores water, whether it’s from the faucet, a fountain, her bowl, or her all-time favorite treat: ice cubes (which she will happily meow and dance for!).
This affectionate lady is the ultimate cuddle bug and lap cat. Duchess loves being close to her people and is happiest when she’s curled up with you or keeping a watchful, nurturing eye on the household. Though she never had kittens of her own, she grew up surrounded by animals and humans alike and naturally took on the role of gentle caretaker and loving companion.
Duchess still has a playful, adventurous side and enjoys climbing stairs, exploring higher surfaces, or even supervised outdoor time in the yard. After a short adventure, she’s more than ready to relax—lounging on the couch or snuggling in bed with her favorite humans. While she’s nearly 15 years young and may have mild arthritis in one hind leg, it doesn’t slow her down when attention is involved. She gets along well with children, dogs, and other cats, making her a wonderful addition to a loving home.
DOB: October 10, 2011
Our adoption fees are $125 for one cat or $200 for two, which include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, combo test, deworming, collar, and ID tag. Adopters must be 21 years or older, agree to keep their cats indoors only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and understand that declawing is not permitted.

We are a foster based rescue and all our kitties live with their foster families until they find their furever homes. We get to know our kitties and can answer questions regarding behaviors and personality.
Our adoption process is a little different than a traditional shelter. We ask that potential adopters complete an application and brief phone screen. Meet and greets are scheduled at our adoption events or with the foster.
Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for 2, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots, microchip, combo test, deworming, and collar and ID tag.
We require our adopters are 21 years old or older, keep the cat inside only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and do not declaw

More about this rescue
Our group's founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.
