Why I need a new home

Infant, young children or pregnancy

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We’ve made the bittersweet decision to search for a new home for our sweet cat, Scout (pictured, white calico female). I’ve raised her from a kitten, and she’s now 8 years old with lots of years of a healthy life to go.

Scout is super sweet (likes to cuddle with anyone who will hold her), talkative, and LOVES humans. But, now with two small kids, Scout is having a hard time getting the attention she needs in our home. She is also not thriving with toddler life… IYKYK.

We’d love to find a home for Scout where she could get more 1-on-1 attention. She gets along with dogs and cats. She is mostly good with kids, but will scratch if handled wrong. (*Note, Scout is declawed on her front feet, so she won’t be able to spend a lot of time outdoors.)

The ideal home would be someone wanting a low maintenance snuggle buddy or a family with older kids who want a cuddly cat. Scout is a sweetheart, and I’d love to see her thrive somewhere she’d get a little more affection.
