Hi! I'm Lyra, the shelter's resident comedian. My journey here? Well, let’s just say it involved a squirrel, a skateboard, and a very surprised pizza delivery guy. Imagine me, chasing Mr. Squirrel right onto a skateboard, which I definitely did not know how to ride. The skateboard zoomed off, and so did I, right into the pizza guy! The pizzas flew like frisbees, and I ended up here. Oops! If you love laughter and a bit of chaos, I'm your girl. Let's make our own fun stories together!

More about this rescue

Lost Paws Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer based organization dedicated to the welfare, care and adoption of abandoned and homeless animals. We also provide educational materials that will help pet owners with their animals. All of our animals are kept in foster homes. We also have rescue animals in need of medical care.

We do this because we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in the community. We hope to do this through education, being an advocate for the animals, endeavoring to reduce animals over population (spay/neutering) and preventing animal cruelty.
