Meet Lychee Your Sweet Little Poodle! Looking for a loyal, loving, and oh-so-cuddly companion? Say hello to Lychee, a 5-year-old Miniature Poodle with a heart as sweet as his name! Lychee is the perfect mix of gentle and playful. He’s lived happily with kids and other dogs, so he’s great for families or homes with a friendly pup. He’s never met a cat, so that’s a mystery waiting to be solved! Here’s why Lychee will steal your heart: Potty Pro: Goes outside like a champ. Crate King: Crate-trained and comfy when home alone. Love Bug: Absolutely adores being petted and snuggled. Quiet Soul: Prefers a calm, peaceful home. Travel Tip: Gets car sick, so short rides are best. Personality: Shy with strangers at first, but once he trusts you, he’s all yours! If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will be your best friend, Lychee is ready to meet you!
Fun Poodle Facts to Share! Poodles are ranked #2 in doggy intelligence—they’re super smart! They’re hypoallergenic and have curly coats that don’t shed much. Originally bred as water retrievers, poodles are natural swimmers. Miniature poodles are known for being affectionate, playful, and loyal.

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.
How it works:
1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.
2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)
3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.
ADOPTION FEES - CATS
- Cats (over 6 months): $50 - $100
- Kittens (6 months and under): $150 - $300
- Two kittens adopted at the same time: $250 - $300
Adoption Fees for cats and dogs include:
Spaying / neutering
Microchip
First set of vaccines
Deworming
Flea treatment
Martingale collar and slip lead for dogs
Collar and cardboard carrier for cats
SMALL ANIMALS & BIRDS
- Adoption fees vary based on species

Adoptions by Appointment
Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
